The following email excerpt from Jeffry Abell spells out new ride procedures and scheduling process which will be followed until further notice: Dear SCRR: For those of you that did not attend the last meeting, this is to inform you that a few changes have been made regarding the ride schedule and how you will be informed about it. 1. The Ride Schedule on the website will no longer be maintained. 2. Instead, you will receive an email from me each week advising you about the coming Sunday's ride. I will try to send that email no later than Wednesday of each week. 3. If you somehow miss an email, or need to advise me of a change of email address, or wish to be removed from the list, have any questions about this email, etc., you may reach me at: j-abell@sbcglobal.net or (818) 439-7571. 4. We will rotate the ride starts each week between Carrow's (which, BTW, will be closed for a few weeks in July while it is converted to a Coco's), McDonald's at Yosemite and McDonald's at Rexford. Except as noted below, all rides will be rider's choice, i.e., to be determined by those that attend the ride, with a start time of 9:00 am. 5. I will always entertain suggestions for a specific ride and start from anyone wishing to lead that ride. Please contact me as much in advance as you can. 6. It would be a great service to your fellow members if you would "reply to all" to each ride notice email if you intend to participate in the ride. This way, each member will know if others are attending, and not show up if they would be the only one! Unfortunately, my email server does not allow me to include every member in a single email. So, I have divided the roster in two, and will have to take the extra step of relaying your responses to the other half of the roster. My problem; not yours. 7. Monthly meetings will still be at 8:30 am at Carrow's (soon to be Coco's) on Ventura Blvd., just east of Reseda, on the last Sunday of each month. If they are closed for renovation at the end of July, I will notify you of the alternate location. 8. Next Sunday's ride will start at 9:00 am from the McDonald's at Rexford, just off the 405/5. This is July 4th, so I anticipate a possibility that many of you may have other plans. It is especially important, therefore, that you let me know if you plan to ride. Thanks in advance.
