Club's Minutes for February, 2010

  Minutes of the Meeting of the Southern California Road Riders Sunday, February 28, 2010 President Pat Baner was out of town this Sunday, and at his request Mike Christ conducted the monthly meeting of the Southern California Road Riders. Mike welcomed everyone to the meeting. During SCRR’s January meeting, Jeff Abell, Chairman of the New Membership Committee, requested that everyone send him an e-mail providing contact information for someone who could be a potential member of our Club. Unfortunately, Jeff did not receive a single e-mail. Jeff again encouraged everyone to let him know about prospective members, and he will also try other recruiting methods. Attending today’s meeting with Scott Bergman was his friend, Bill. Everyone welcomed Bill, who will also join the group on the scheduled ride to Santa Paula. No announcement was made of birthdays or anniversaries for the month of March. A few minutes were taken during the meeting for the monthly jokes-and-laughs segment made famous by a few of our members. A single nomination for Stinky was received. Pat Baner received Stinky, again!, as he did not remind the restaurant of our monthly meeting. The group had a long wait for breakfast as they were not prepared for us. 50/50 prizes were won by members. Our “thanks” again go to Bernie Flood for his donations. Ron Lynn offered another product review of a favorite item and then donated it as a 50/50 prize, won by our guest Bill. Dave Panthen was the big winner of the day, however, taking home the cash prize. Mike Christ closed the meeting, with riders leaving for a destination in the Santa Paula area.
